Last week 7 women took part in a one day, hands-on workshop about “How to set up your own blog” . 6 of them are members of CMACN (Cavan Monaghan Arts and Crafts Network) 1 is a tourism provider. The course took part in the Silver Bear Centre and thanks to wireless broadband we were able to work on several laptops.
The focus was on what can a blog do for us as product or service providers and to achieveĀ the setting up of every onesĀ blog on the day. Everyone is very busy to juggle between keeping their own business going and family life and even if we know what we should put our effort into it is not always easy to do it yourself. So working within a group with the same goals we found very beneficial. To be part of a social media group makes marketing your business certainly alot easier and we all benefit from sharing experiences and touching common ground.
At the end of the class everyone had their blog set up and we also signed up to twitter another example of micro-blogging.
